Duck Hunting Rice Mitigation 2012

Ducks hunting I just got back about 3 weeks ago from the Riverina where I hunted with 3 friends over the rice fields. We had an awesome time and hunted ducks, rabbits, galahs and also got a nice haul of yabbies for the pot.

The weather was fantastic with some warm days but all in all the weather was wonderful and lots of breeze to keep us all cool. The nights were warm with a few cool nights throw in for good measure.

We used #2, #3, #4 shot mostly with 34 or 36 gram loads to some good success. I might upgrade to a more decent shell next year as I found some of the penetration and knockdown power was just not there with the generic hunting loads.

Check out my video of the great time we had down in the Riverina.

Rice Mitigation 2011 Highlights

This post is a long time coming but I made a small video of last years rice mitigation duck hunting in 2011. I was working for a farmer for 4 days down in the Riverina and got to remove feral pests from his property including feral cats, rabbits, foxes and obviously ducks. It was an awesome 4 days away with great company and I had a blast. Enjoy the video!

Game Council R Licence Hunters

I had an opportunity to get out for a hunt in a state forest with my mate Anthony and decided to film a little video for R license Hunters and the Game council NSW to show what we do out in the field. The weather was freezing and we stayed for 2 nights. We didn’t see much on the trip except for 2 foxes but they were on the side of the road.

Here is a video of what happened on the trip.
